ACST-2 TRIAL randomizzato multicentrico in collaborazione con HTA/BUPA Foundation/University of Oxford sulla Chirurgia carotidea versus stenting. 

ACST-2 is a large, simple international randomised trial comparing surgery (CEA) versus stenting (CAS) in patients with asymptomatic carotid stenosis where there is substantial uncertainty as to which treatment is more appropriate. ACST-2 seeks to compare these procedures and their benefit in stroke prevention. ACST-2 is currently recruiting patients from all over the world through very experienced collaborators in many different countries. The trial hopes to recruit many thousands of patients over the next few years for a meaningful comparison between surgery and stenting.

CVRx has developed an implantable device to that is designed to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. This new device is called the Rheos® System. The Rheos System uses CVRx patented Baroreflex Activation Therapy® (BAT®) technology to trigger the body's own natural blood flow regulation system to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. CVRx has a strong intellectual property foundation, which will protect the unique BAT technology. This product is currently under clinical evaluation in the United States for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure. The Rheos System is CE Marked and approved for sale for hypertension patients in Europe.

STUDIO PROSPETTICO MONOCENTRICO ITALIANO SULL’IMPIEGO DELLO STENT RIVESTITO CGUARD™ COME PREVENZIONE EMBOLICA CEREBRALE IN PAZIENTI SOTTOPOSTI A PROCEDURA DI STENTING CAROTIDEO 

TIPO DI STUDIO: STUDIO PROSPETTICO NAZIONALE MONOCENTRICO OSSERVAZIONALE

SCOPO DELLO STUDIO: L'obiettivo principale di questo studio osservazionale monocentrico è quello di valutare la sicurezza e l'efficacia del sistema C-GUARD™ (Inspire MD) in qualità di stent carotideo rivestito da una rete di PET nel trattamento di pazienti candidati a  procedura di stenting carotideo.
